Monthly final result
65 people played in the monthly final last Sunday in The Royal British Legion on a cold and damp April afternoon.
With a bigger prize pool on offer, it now meant the first person out on the final table finished on the bubble.
That person was the RBL champion for March, Mike, in his first ever final appearance. Unlucky Mike
This left us with our 8 lucky prize winners. First out was Donna aka "Rivermouse".
- 8th - Rivermouse - £20
- 7th - Riverman - £25
- 6th - Will - £30
- 5th - Ian - £50
- 4th - Dave - £75
- 3rd - Bingo Bob - £100
- Runner up was Gary who took home £200.
- WINNER - Jamie "PACMAN" Peirce - NEW TOP PRIZE £500
Riverman was out in 7th.
Will, trying to win back to back finals did well to make the final table but this month was out in 6th
Ian - "Mr B" was out in 5th.
Dave T. aka "Zooma" was one of the two big stacks to hit the final table, but a crucial hand against Gary when Dave pushed with King-Jack and Gary was in the blinds with pocket 8s proved crucial. The 8's held up and decimated Daves stack whilst catapulting Gary upwards.
Bingo Bob finished third.
This left us with 2 players. Gary and Jamie "Pacman" Peirce, a regular final table finisher, and Jamies experience came to the fore with a fine display of heads up aggression. He came to the final table with 130k in chips and never really looked in danger of doing anything else but taking home first place after so many near misses.
