Bristol Poker League Finals Game Result
An almost full final! 74 runners all lined up on Sunday in Snooker City.
All attempting to become our new champion.
New finalist, Isaac was first out, followed swiftly by Snooker City regular, Kivak, who did a lot worse than his sister Paulina....
We paid £10 right down to 16th spot and Mick, Void, Karen, Wayne, James H, Avi and Liam were the players to just miss out on a final table appearance.
This was the chip counts of those who did, with one massive chip stack, dwarfing the rest!
1 Paulina - 273,000
2 Paul AKA Ace-5 - 82,000
3 Paul Wilson - 57,000
4 Daddy Cool - 48,000
5 Angie - 41,000
6 Lyndsay AKA Bootsie - 39,000
7 Wayne AKA Pinky - 37,000
8 Mad Jan - 24,000
9 Anna Marie AKA Black Widow - 5,000
This meant a very impressive FIVE women made it through to our top table for the first time ever.
9th - Black Widow
Anna-Marie went out in 9th place to win £25 when her small stack got taken out early.
8th - Mad Jan
Reigning Fire Engine Champion Jan was our second female to leave the table, she took home £30 for 8th position
7th - Ace-Five
Paul was out in 7th and took home £40 in his first final when his shove with King-2 got a call from Paulina with pocket Tens and another call from Daddy Cool with... 9-10 of Diamonds... The diamonds immediately hit a flush on the flop to send Paul home.
6th - Angie
Home player Angie, here proudly showing off her 25,000 slab chip went out in 6th place for £50.
5th - Pinky
Another home player, Wayne went out in 5th place, collecting £60 for his efforts.
4th - Paul Wilson
Paul was out in fourth, taking home £ 75. to leave us with two women and one man fighting it out three handed.
3rd - Lyndsay
Lyndsay was out in third in a straight race. Her King-Jack not hitting against Daddy Cool's pocket 6's. She won £100
This left us with Paulina and Chris, both of whom had seen their chip stacks yo-yoing when at the final table.
Runner Up - Paulina
Snooker City Paulina, playing in her first final, had been knocking out players all afternoon, arriving at the final table as overwhelming chip leader. She eventually found herself heads up, but fell one place short of taking home the trophy this time. She finished second and collected £150
The Winner - Chris Shepperd
The final hand of the game, saw Paulina go all in, and Chris call on a flop of Ace-Jack-Ten of Spades. Paulina showed Ace-4 of Diamonds and Chris had the Queen of Spades and a 6 of Diamonds for a Royal Flush draw!
Although the Royal didn't come, a 3 of Spades on the Turn meant it was all over, with the Jack of Clubs on the river being meaningless. A famous hand in some pubs wins again and Chris took home the trophy and £300 for coming top of the shop. Congratulations!
Congratulations to all our prize winners and we look forward to seeing everyone in The Fire Engine in our next final!
