Latest Final Result

62 players took part in our latest final in The Red Lion.

All attempting to become our new champion.

With the action spread all the way around the pub, in two different rooms, it was a bit difficult to keep track of everything that went on, so I am not sure who went out first. I was told it was a player called Simon, but am not sure who that was!

With 62 players we paid £10 down to 12th spot and Vern, Andrew and Jay were the players to just miss out on a final table appearance but still be rewarded.

This was the chip counts of those who made it to the top table.

JJ - 6000
Julie - 53000
Marc - 91000
Mark T - 105000
Colin - 122000
Kerri - 61000
Lyndsay - 14000
Jo W - 23000
Angie - 39000

So once again we had more women than men reach the top 9 places. Could one of them win the title this time?

  • 9th - JJ
  • JJ was out in 9th for the second final running.

  • 8th - Jo W
  • Another player making her second final table in a row, Jo was knocked out in the same hand as JJ, but with more chips, she finished in 8th spot.

  • 7th - Angie
  • Angie was knowcked out in 7th place. Her push with Ace-Queen was called by Marc and his pocket 6's which held up when both players hit one of their cards on the flop.

  • 6th - Mark T
  • Mark was knocked out by Kerri in 6th spot.

  • 5th - Colin
  • Colin was playing his first final and finished a respectable 5th place. He lost a lot of chips in this brutal hand against Kerri.

All in with Ace-Queen against pocket 9's it looked good for Colin when he hit an Ace on the turn, but the one queen he didn't want to see, the Queen of clubs popped up on the river to give Kerri a backdoor flush! BOOM! It looked like the Poker God's were smiling down on Kerri today!

  • 4th - Julie
  • Julie was out in 4th. A short stack with 8-9 suited was no good in a multi player pot.

  • 3rd - Marc
  • Marc was out in third, leaving us with an all female heads up between Lyndsay and Kerri.

The ladies decided to chop the majority of the money 200 each and play for the rest.

    It lasted one hand.

  • Runner Up - Lyndsay
  • Having arrived on the final table with only 3% of the chips in play, Lyndsay did remarkably well to get to the final two. Massively outchipped she saw King-Jack of Diamonds good enough to get her chips in with heads up.

Kerri held pocket 5's. A dry board meant we had a new winner!

  • The Winner - Kerri "Care Bear" Malcolm
  • Congratulations to all our prize winners and we look forward to seeing everyone in our next final!
