July 26th News The result from the June final Over 70 players started this months final in The White Hart on a nice and sunny Sunday afternoon last week. First out on the final table was Dodge. 8th place - Dodge The Grim Reaper was out in 7th place. 7th place - Grim Magic was our 6th placed finisher. Here he is picking up the NEW trophy we now give the overall winner of the monthly league. 6th place - Magic Dave and Handsome John playing a big pot. Handsome John went on to finish in 5th 5th place - Handsome John Gary finished 4th. 4th - Gary Nigel finished 3rd. 3rd - Nigel Down to our last 2 and even though Ricky started as the big chip leader, Dave launched an awesome aggressive display of heads up poker to take absolute control. Although the heads up battle lasted a fair few hands, I can barely remember Dave losing any! The final hand was Daves Ace Ten facing RickysKing 8 and the Ten on the flop sealed the victory. Well played Dave and well played ricky for improving from 5th last month to runners up this month. Really impressive final results.
