The Prizes for the February Monthly Final.

A few people have asked if we are doing another bounty hunter game at the final tomorrow.

My initial thought was that although the idea itself worked quite well in principle last month, I didn't want to run another final with a huge chunk of the prize pool given away as bounties so soon after the last one so decided we were going to run a normal style game.

In the feedback I have had, people suggested several ideas to try and incorporate a bounty game into a normal final where people pay a figure ranging from a couple of quid up to a fiver, and this all goes into the prize pool as well as the money the league puts up. I like that idea as it will be easily possible for the pool to go well over a thousand pounds if we did that, but the idea would only work if the vast majority of people joined in.

Obivously only the people who had paid the bounty fee would be eligible for any other players bounty. If you knock someone out but don't pay the bounty fee they just cash their own chip in.

As I really don't like the idea of forcing anyone to HAVE to put in any money to play in what remains a free league I am not going to insist on people paying anything to pay...

In the end I have decided I will go with running a game with a prize pool we provide and a voluntary bounty of £2.00 and see how it works. It will either work well or flop. I will be bringing the yellow chips and asking people to chuck in a couple of quid when they sign in. You dont have to if you dont want to.

The prize distribution without the bounties will be as follows:

1 £300.00
2 £100.00
3 £75.00
4 £60.00
5 £50.00
6 £40.00
7 £30.00
8 £25.00
9 £20.00
10 £10.00
11 £10.00
12 £10.00
13 £10.00
14 £10.00
15 £10.00
16 £10.00

TOTAL £770.00

The other change at the final is that the starting stack has been raised from 6000 to 8000.
