September 2nd News The result from the July final 69 players started this months final in The Luckwell in a slightly different formatted final. This time the two rooms played from 5 tables to 8 players who then all met upstairs in the final 16. The final table was these lucky 8 players. Donna Ricky, making his third straight final table in his first 3 finals! Ricky took a horrendous beat on the final table. With him and Dale getting all their chips in pre flop. Ricky turned over pocket Queens, Dale had King Jack. The first card on the flop was a Queen, but then club, club, club, club all came and Dale held the King of Clubs to win the huge pot and leave Ricky with 2 green chips! The Penguin, Shadowplay, Koi. Koi was involved in another huge bad beat story in the final 16. Holding A-K he found himself in deep trouble against Scobby doos pocket aces. Even more so when the flop brought all low cards, but a King on the turn and a King on the river saw an amazing 1.1% shot come flying in to knock Scooby out. The final 3 saw last months champion Dave almost produce back-to-back victories, but it was not to be and he ended up going out in third, Third place - Dave Heads up was a previous champion Mike Rogers playing under his new moniker "Picasso" against a previous "Champion of Champions" Dale! After agreeing to chop the money, they played on for the trophy and after a few all ins pre flop, Dale took home the prize with an Ace high victory!
