September 2nd News Double month ahead. As last years two month season proved a success we are going to do the same again this year, but instead of running the two months in November and December and then have a big final in January, we thought it would be a great idea to give someone a bumper Christmas, by combining the October and November months leagues into one and have a MORE THAN DOUBLE payout in December! The exact venue and date of the final has not been confirmed yet, but we can say that the prizes will be as follows: Position Prize Winner The Champions trophy and £500 2 £250 3 £200 4 £150 5 £125 6 £90 7 £75 8 £50 We will also pay the people who finish in positions 9 to 16 £20 each. This does mean there will be NO trophies awarded at the end of October. Each league will be TWO months long. The other thing I am being asked quite a lot recently concerns the drawing for dealer. There is a rule we use in the league which IS STILL IN PLACE AND HAS NOT BEEN CHANGED. Rule 4 which says: Players can choose to sit on any of the seats at the table they have been assigned to. The dealer of the first hand is decided by random drawing of cards. If two or more people draw the same rank of card then they re-draw until one has drawn a higher card. The ONLY exception to this rule is if someone draws the Ace of Spades. They immediately assume the dealer chip even if someone draws another ace. The Ace of Spades is the number one ace and if you draw it you ARE the dealer. Its a small rule, but one I like. :)
