Last updated: 8 February 2026
These terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of the Bristol Poker League website at bristolpokerleague.co.uk (“the site”) and, where relevant, to your participation in league activities. By using the site or taking part in league events, you agree to these Terms.
1. Use of the website
You may use the site for lawful purposes only. You must not:
- Use the site in any way that breaches applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, systems or accounts
- Introduce viruses, malware or other harmful material
- Use the site to harass, defame or infringe the rights of others
- Scrape, copy or reuse content or data in a way that undermines the site or our rights
We may suspend or restrict access to the site or to your account if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms.
2. Content and accuracy
We aim to keep information on the site (e.g. events, venues, rules, league details) accurate and up to date. We do not guarantee that all content is complete, current or error-free. You use the site and rely on its content at your own risk. Event details may change; we encourage you to confirm times and venues through our official channels before attending.
3. Intellectual property
All content on the site (text, images, logos, design and layout) is owned by Bristol Poker League or our licensors. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. You must not reproduce, distribute, modify or use our content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.
4. League and events
Participation in Bristol Poker League events (e.g. tournaments, league play) may be subject to additional rules, venue policies and age or other eligibility requirements. By participating, you agree to comply with those rules and with reasonable instructions from organisers and venue staff. We and our venues reserve the right to refuse entry or remove participants who do not comply or who behave in a way that is disruptive or unsafe.
5. No gambling for real money
Bristol Poker League runs for fun and league points only. No real-money gambling takes place in connection with our league games. Any gambling laws that apply in your jurisdiction are your responsibility; we do not offer gambling services.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- The site is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss or damage (e.g. loss of data, profits, goodwill) arising from your use of the site or from league participation.
- Our total liability to you in connection with the site or these Terms shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve months before the claim (or, if nothing, zero).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
7. Links to other sites
The site may contain links to third-party websites (e.g. social media, venues). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices or availability of those sites. Linking does not imply endorsement. You use third-party sites at your own risk.
8. Privacy
Your use of the site and any data we collect are governed by our Privacy & Cookie Policy. By using the site you confirm you have read and understood that policy.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
10. General
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If any part of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue in effect.
